Invoice generator questions

Is this invoice generator really free?

Yes. Filling in and previewing an invoice is free and needs no account. To download the PDF, save it or send it, create a free Invoixy account with Google or Apple. The free plan includes 3 invoices/month free.

Why do I need an account to download?

Your invoice is saved to your account at the same time, so you can find it, edit it, send it and mark it paid later instead of starting over.

Will I lose what I typed when I sign up?

No. Your invoice is kept in this browser while you sign up. Once you're in, it's saved to your account as a draft and the PDF downloads.

How do I add sales tax to an invoice?

Enter your sales tax rate as a percentage. It's applied to the subtotal and shown as its own line above the total. US sales tax depends on your state, city and what you sell, so check your local rate. Leave it empty if you don't charge it.

What should an invoice include?

Your business name and contact details, your client's name, the issue date and due date, each item with its quantity and price, any tax, the total due, and how to pay you. Invoixy adds an invoice number when you save it.

What does Net 30 mean?

Net 30 means payment is due 30 days after the invoice date. Net 15 and Net 60 work the same way. Due on receipt means the client should pay as soon as they get the invoice.
